Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA

Hey Guys, welcome to  2nd part of my Colorado trip.

The trip, which was started as a leisure in the dreamy and beautiful Vail, has now been turned to recreational. We left the calm and romantic valleys of white river national forest and were now travelling to Rocky Mountain National Forest.

We started towards our next stop.. KEYSTONE, which is some 40 mins away from vail and a top resort destination for ski lovers and tourists who wants to explore Rocky Mountains … we stayed here for couple of hours, the whole place was setting up to welcome the yet another beautiful ski season.. we explored some fine gems of keystone… like Inxpot cafe… a must go place in keystone… and Kickapoo tavern. This place had an amazing mountain vibe and serenity… we moved ahead and stopped at DILLON LAKE… this was an awestruck place overlooking swan mountains and a beautiful reservoir.

After completing a very small part of white river national forest… Now we were entering the magnificent rocky mountain national park. We consider ourselves very lucky as we got a chance to drive the highest motor able road in US, THE TRAIL RIDGE ROAD; this road runs from Estes Park to Grand Lake.

Trail Ridge Road remains closed during the winter and depends on snowpack it merely opens for 4 months, Just 2 days back before our trip there was a storm in Colorado and the trail ridge was closed until morning. With the heavy heart we took the detour but just when we stopped for a quick break we called up the Status helpline to check on the current status of trail ridge, we learned it has been reopened, we took this opportunity to cover the highest drivable road.. and I must say this was the most beautiful road we drove till date, we came across lakes trees, magnificent mountains .. trail ridge gives you photo opportunity on every mile .. alpine visitor center is a must visit stop here. After the amazing drive, we reached Estes Park by evening.

Estes Park is a base for Rockies, being only 3 miles away from the park entrance; this provides everything you need for your Rockies adventure. We stayed here in Amberwood on Fall River, this is an amazing cabin right on the Fall river and in between Estes Park Citycentre and rocky mountain national park. Estes park have amazing Salt Water Taffy Shops, My favorite is old rustic shop The Taffy Shops right on Elkhorn Ave which is here from last 7 decades. We had dinner at one of the Nepali restaurant here and then we went for stroll on the beautiful streets of Estes Park.

Next morning we woke up at six, with the amazing views of Fall River and elk grazing right in front of our cabin. After a quick breakfast, we started for park.

We Visited Bear Lake, did the trekking around the lake. We drove again to alpine center and spent lot of time, there are lot of treks and view points here. Then we tried for Twin sisters Trail.. couldn’t complete due to the time constraints.

We ended our trip to Rockies and drove back to Colorado. Took the scenic route of state highway 7 to Denver. Spent our evening partying in Denver and completed our trip.

This was memorable trip of me coz of the beautiful destinations .. and if you liked the video give me a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel
